Chris was a USA National Team setter as a player, and he's continued his focus on setting as a coach. In 2018, Illinois had one of the top offenses in the country, known for their tempo and dynamic backrow attack, as they made the NCAA Final Four.

We discussed the footwork and handwork that he teaches, the tactical side of the game, and how he organizes training for his setters. Chris also discussed a challenge many coaches have, replacing a 4-year starter (and current National Team setter) with a less experienced group of setters. How do you make the necessary adjustments while still executing at a high level? What changes and what stays the same?

This webinar was limited to college coaches only, so we had an opportunity to dive into some of the more advanced aspects of setting that aren't addressed in most general coaching clinics.
