Joe Trinsey - Stats For Head Coaches Workshop - July 3
This session features me! Joe Trinsey. Current nomadic volleyball consultant, former Head Coach, Assistant Coach, Technical Coordinator, or otherwise staff member for various teams at the National, Professional, NCAA, Club, High School, Middle School, or basically any level of volleyball I can find. It will take place on Friday, July 3rd, from 2-4pm Eastern Time.
PLEASE NOTE: This session is free. BUT. Only for coaches who have attended a previous webinar or workshop. So I suppose, as with all things in life, it’s not really free. But it makes for a nice incentive to sign up for one of the other sessions, doesn’t it? :)
I’ve titled this workshop, “Stats For Head Coaches,” because I want to zoom back a bit from the wonkier details of DataVolley and more on practical applications to teaching, training, and planning. The discussion will focus less on gathering the information and more on using it. Of course, Assistant Coaches are welcome too!
We’ll discuss:
My outline for assessing broad-level strengths and weaknesses.
How to decide what rotation to start in.
When to use the stats and when to use your intuition.
Best practices for translating statistical information into practice planning.
When to focus on strengths and when to fix weaknesses.
Using supplemental tools (like radar guns, replay cameras, etc)
How to get the most out of Volleymetrics
And a lot more!
Attendees should know the basics of volleyball statistics (like Sideout %, Hitting Efficiency, etc) but you don’t need any experience with DataVolley or other stats apps.
